How SharePoint and Google Drive connect company knowledge to Stratson
Stratson connects to SharePoint and Google Drive so your team can use existing project files and company knowledge in estimating, tendering, and document review without repeatedly downloading and uploading them.
What Stratson does with project information
Stratson is an AI workspace for the work that happens before construction starts. It reads project information and helps teams prepare estimates, review tender requirements, and create project documents.
The files for a new project tell only part of the story. Your company’s earlier estimates, reference projects, and completed tender material can help explain how you have approached similar work before. The integrations make that existing knowledge available to Stratson from the systems where your team stores it.
What the connections make available
SharePoint and Google Drive are places where teams store and organize shared files. Connecting them gives Stratson access to company material such as drawings, specifications, and previous estimates, within the scope of the connection.
You can ask Stratson to use that information in a project task, reducing the need to find each document, download it, and upload it again. The connected files supply context for the work you ask Stratson to do.
How this helps with an estimate
Consider an estimator preparing a price for a new school. Previous school projects may contain useful unit rates and scope assumptions, but those details sit inside earlier estimates in company folders.
With those files connected, the estimator can ask Stratson to find rates from similar projects and use them as context for the new estimate. A useful starting request is: “Find unit rates from similar school projects we delivered in the last three years, and explain the scope each rate covers.”
Historical rates still need to be assessed against the new project’s specification, location, and pricing date. Use the earlier work to inform the estimate, then review the assumptions before relying on it.
How to set up a connection
A workspace admin opens Settings, selects Integrations, and chooses Connect SharePoint or Connect Google Drive. The admin then completes the sign-in and authorization process for that service.
The connection is set up for the team, so each person does not need to repeat the initial setup. For SharePoint, the organization controls which content is connected, and existing access permissions determine what individual users can work with.
Start with a specific project question
Choose a task where earlier company work would help, such as checking an estimate against a similar project or finding reference material for a tender. Tell Stratson what you are preparing and what information you want it to use.
A request with a project type, a time period, and a clear output gives the work a useful starting point. Your connected company knowledge can then support the drawings and requirements of the project in front of you.
